The Roja Muthiah Research Library (RMRL), in Chennai was founded in 1994 with the rare Tamil Books collections by Roja Muthiah Chettiar . it provides research materials for Tamil studies in a variety of fields of the humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The Library is based on the collection of Roja Muthiah, who accumulated one of the world’s finest private libraries of Tamil publications. This library has rare collections of early print Tamil books. The vast collections include about 3,00,000 items comprising of books, journals, newspapers etc.
